These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Grocery Saver, including our website, dashboard, basket tracking, price alerts, subscriptions, and related services.

By accessing or using Grocery Saver, you agree to these Terms of Service and any policies referenced in them. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
If you use Grocery Saver on behalf of a business, household, or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that party.
Grocery Saver helps users monitor Checkers product prices, build recurring grocery baskets, view price and basket trends, and receive alerts when tracked products or baskets meet selected price conditions.
Grocery Saver is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Checkers, Shoprite Holdings, or any of their subsidiaries.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy a paid subscription. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity that happens through your account.
You must provide accurate account information, including a valid email address, and keep it up to date so we can deliver important service, billing, and alert messages.
We work to provide useful and timely price tracking, but prices, promotions, availability, product details, and basket totals may change, contain errors, or differ from what appears in-store, online, or in another retailer channel.
Alerts are informational only. You remain responsible for checking current product prices, availability, delivery fees, substitutions, and checkout totals before buying.
You agree that you will not:
Grocery Saver may offer free and paid plans. Paid plan features, limits, prices, and billing periods are shown at checkout or in the product interface. Payments are processed through Paystack or another payment provider we make available.
You authorise the payment provider to charge the payment method you provide for your selected plan and any applicable taxes or fees. If payment fails, we may limit, suspend, or downgrade paid features until the issue is resolved.
You may cancel a paid subscription from your account settings where that feature is available, or by following the cancellation flow provided by the payment provider. Your paid access will usually continue until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are handled in line with applicable South African law, payment-provider rules, and the nature of the service already supplied. Nothing in these terms limits any non-excludable consumer rights you may have.
You remain responsible for product URLs, basket labels, quantities, referral actions, purchase confirmations, and other information you add to the service. You grant us permission to use that information as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve Grocery Saver.
If you create a shared basket link, people with that link may be able to view the shared basket information. Only share links with people you trust.
Grocery Saver, including its software, branding, design, content, features, and underlying systems, belongs to us or our licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of Grocery Saver or any intellectual property rights to you.
You may use Grocery Saver only for your personal or internal household grocery planning purposes, subject to these terms.
Grocery Saver relies on third-party services for authentication, hosting, storage, email delivery, payment processing, and product data sources. Those services may have their own terms and privacy notices.
We are not responsible for third-party websites, retailer systems, checkout flows, payment provider outages, or changes made by retailers or service providers.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information. By using Grocery Saver, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described there.
We may update, improve, pause, or discontinue parts of Grocery Saver from time to time. We aim to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or permanent availability of any feature.
We may also update these terms. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Grocery Saver is provided as an information and planning tool. It does not guarantee savings, product availability, stock accuracy, retailer promotions, delivery availability, or final checkout prices.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Grocery Saver will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including lost savings, lost profits, missed promotions, data loss, or losses caused by retailer or third-party systems.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, misuse the service, create security or operational risk, fail to pay required fees, or use the service in a way that may harm Grocery Saver, other users, or third parties.
You may stop using Grocery Saver at any time. Some terms, including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions, continue after your access ends.
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any dispute relating to these terms or Grocery Saver will be handled by South African courts or another competent South African forum, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
